Full Day Itinerary
A Journey Through Time: From Cusco to the Lost City of the Incas
Your experience begins early in the morning with a pick-up from your hotel in Cusco around 4:00 a.m. You will travel by private transport to the picturesque town of Ollantaytambo, located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. From there, you will board the tourist train that follows the scenic route along the Urubamba River, crossing breathtaking mountain and cloud forest landscapes until reaching Aguas Calientes — the gateway to Machu Picchu.
Upon arrival, you will take the bus up to the archaeological site of Machu Picchu, majestically perched at the top of the mountain. Once inside the citadel, enjoy a guided tour of approximately two hours through the most important sectors: the Main Square, the Temple of the Sun, and the Agricultural Zone. Throughout the visit, your expert guide will share insights into the history, architecture, and spiritual significance of this remarkable sanctuary, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
After the tour, you will return to Aguas Calientes to have lunch and explore the town at your leisure — visit local markets or relax by the Vilcanota River.
In the afternoon, you will take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where private transportation will be waiting to drive you to Cusco. Arrival at your hotel is scheduled around 8:00 p.m., marking the end of an unforgettable day at one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

What happens if I miss the return train due to an unforeseen event?
We always recommend travel insurance. Train tickets cannot be reprogrammed within 24 hours of departure, so you would need to purchase a new ticket (either in Aguas Calientes or from Cusco). As your agency, we will provide all necessary assistance to manage the situation.
Can I choose the circuit or entry time for Machu Picchu?
No, the circuit cannot be chosen. However, depending on ticket availability at the time of your booking, we prioritize purchasing the most complete entry ticket. The entry times we offer start from 8:00 a.m. Your assigned entry time will be coordinated beforehand. If you already have your ticket, you must indicate this in your reservation. Are there meal options for specific diets (vegetarian, vegan, etc.)?
Yes, but you must communicate your dietary requirements at least 48 hours in advance so the restaurant can prepare a suitable alternative.
Is the tour suitable for people with reduced mobility?
It is not recommended. The tour involves walking on uneven stone paths and steps with steep slopes. If you have a medical condition, please inform us when booking to evaluate possible adaptations.
What should I do if I get separated from the group during the group tour?
On group tours, your guide will provide you with an emergency contact number at the start. If you get lost, call that number immediately or head to a main exit or the park ranger's post for assistance.
