Your adventure begins with a private morning pickup from your hotel in Cusco, transporting you to the archaeological site of Tambomachay, the starting point of your trek. Here, you will leave the city behind and begin your ascent through the high Andean landscapes, surrounded by rolling ichu grass and native flora. The hike leads you toward the shimmering Lake Qoricocha, where you will pause to enjoy a freshly prepared lunch amidst the tranquility of the mountains, energizing you for the path ahead.
In the afternoon, the trail continues its descent past the traditional village of Pucamarca and through a spectacular canyon that showcases the raw beauty of the Andes. You will traverse a section of the original Inca Trail, walking in the footsteps of history as the vegetation transforms. As the sun begins to lower, you will arrive at the magnificent terraces of Huchuy Qosqo ("Little Cusco"), a site originally built as a royal estate, offering panoramic views of the Sacred Valley below.
The day concludes at our campsite located near the archaeological complex, where your team will have everything ready for your arrival. You will enjoy a hot, nutritious dinner prepared by our Andean chefs before settling into your comfortable tents. Under the vast, star-studded Andean sky, you will rest and recharge, surrounded by the silence and mystic energy of this ancient royal sanctuary.

Awaken to a stunning sunrise over the Sacred Valley and enjoy a hearty breakfast to start your day. The morning is dedicated to a comprehensive guided tour of the Huchuy Qosqo archaeological complex. Your expert guide will reveal the secrets of this impressive Inca site, explaining its agricultural terraces, storehouses, and religious centers, all while you enjoy the exclusive atmosphere of a site visited by few tourists.
Following the tour, you will begin a scenic downhill hike toward the village of Lamay in the Sacred Valley. Upon arrival, a delicious lunch awaits you, rewarding your physical effort. After lunch, private transport will transfer you to the Ollantaytambo train station. Here, you will board the scenic train to Aguas Calientes, a journey that winds along the Urubamba River and transitions from dry mountains to lush cloud forest.
Upon reaching Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo), you will be escorted to your hotel for check-in. You will have time to shower, relax, and explore the charming town at your leisure. The evening includes a briefing with your guide to coordinate the details for the following morning's visit to Machu Picchu, ensuring you are fully prepared for the highlight of your trip.

The final day begins early to maximize your experience at the Wonder of the World. You will board one of the first buses for a short, winding ride up to the citadel of Machu Picchu. As you enter the site, the morning mist often clears to reveal the magnificent stone city. You will embark on a complete, 2-hour guided tour (Circuit 2), visiting the most significant temples, plazas, and corridors while learning about the history and engineering brilliance of the Incas.
After soaking in the magic of the citadel, you will take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes. Here, you will have free time to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant of your choice (not included) and perhaps shop for souvenirs. In the afternoon, you will board the train for your return journey to Ollantaytambo, enjoying the changing landscapes one last time.
Upon arrival at the Ollantaytambo station, our private transport will be waiting to drive you back to Cusco. You will be dropped off directly at your hotel in the evening, concluding your 3-day Imperial Route adventure with unforgettable memories of the Andes and the legacy of the Incas.
