From Inca History to High-Altitude Natural Wonders
Your adventure begins in Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire. After acclimatizing to the high altitude, you'll explore the city's most impressive archaeological sites including Qorikancha, Sacsayhuaman, Q'enqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay. These sites showcase the incredible engineering and spiritual significance of Inca civilization.
Day two is dedicated entirely to Machu Picchu—the crown jewel of your journey. Travel by scenic train through the Sacred Valley, ascend to the citadel, and experience a comprehensive guided tour of this UNESCO World Heritage Site before returning to Cusco.
The journey culminates on day three with an unforgettable trek to Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca). Witness the surreal, multi-colored geological layers at 5,020 meters above sea level—a natural wonder that has captivated travelers from around the world.

Upon your arrival at Cusco's international airport, our dedicated team will provide a warm welcome and a private transfer to your comfortable hotel. The morning is dedicated to a crucial process of acclimatization—resting, hydrating, and preparing your body for the high altitude of the Andes.
The journey into Inca history commences with a professional guided tour of the city's highlights. You will explore the impressive colonial architecture of the main square and witness the fusion of Inca and Spanish design at the ancient Qorikancha (Sun Temple).
Travel just outside the city to the colossal fortress of Sacsayhuamán, renowned for its massive, perfectly fitted stone walls that showcase the incredible engineering skills of the Inca civilization.
Complete the archaeological circuit with visits to the ceremonial sites of Q'enqo, the 'red fortress' of Puca Pucara, and the Inca's sacred water temple at Tambomachay.
Return to your hotel in the late afternoon. Enjoy a relaxing dinner at one of Cusco's many fine restaurants and get an early night's rest in preparation for the challenging early start tomorrow: the journey to Machu Picchu.

An extremely early morning start is required as you are transferred from your Cusco hotel to the train station in Ollantaytambo. Here, you will board the scenic Expedition train service.
Wind through the breathtaking Sacred Valley, with the Urubamba River tracing the track, until you arrive in the bustling town of Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo).
A short but crucial bus journey ascends the mountain switchbacks to the main entrance. Your professional guide will lead you on an insightful two-hour tour, revealing the secrets of the Temple of the Sun, the Main Temple, and the agricultural terraces.
After your guided experience and some time for personal photos, take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included). Explore the charming town before your return journey.
Board your return train to Ollantaytambo and enjoy the final ground transfer back to your hotel in Cusco, concluding an intense but profoundly rewarding day.

Another pre-dawn start is essential as you leave Cusco, heading south in private transport toward the majestic Ausangate mountain range. The journey takes approximately three hours.
Stop for a nourishing Andean breakfast to fuel the strenuous hike ahead before continuing to the official trailhead where your trek begins.
The trek to the Vinicunca viewpoint is a moderate to challenging ascent of about 1.5 to 2 hours, reaching an altitude of 5,020 meters (16,470 ft.). Upon conquering the summit, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking, surreal panorama of the multi-hued geological layers.
You will have approximately 30 minutes to soak in the views and capture truly unique photos. The descent is quicker, taking about an hour, after which a well-deserved, hot lunch will be waiting.
Embark on the return drive to the city, arriving back in Cusco in the late afternoon/early evening, leaving you free to rest and celebrate your high-altitude achievement.
