Cusco - Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco
Your hotel pick-up will be very early in the morning when we will take you to the train station in Ollantaytambo. Here, you will board a train which will take you through the stunning Sacred Valley of the Incas to the town of Aguas Calientes, situated below the archaeological site of Machu Picchu.
We will arrive at approximately 9:40 am. We will then take the bus up to the citadel of Machu Picchu (20 mins approx.). After passing through the control point at the entrance, our guide will start the tour of this spectacular site so that you can understand more about the architecture, history, flora and fauna of this incredible citadel called Machu Picchu. You will be impressed by the amazing stonework and temples all around you as well as the spectacular scenery and geography of the area.
In the afternoon, we will take the return train to the town of Ollantaytambo, where our transport awaits to take us back to your hotel in Cusco. Â

Both of these options are tourist class and have allocated seats, plenty of leg room and a relaxed journey where you will be able to appreciate the spectacular views, through the larger than normal windows. Your journey really does start with this stunning journey by train!

This option is the next class up, completely surrounded by Windows, with more spacious carriages and offering a more panoramic view of the surrounding countryside and spectacular glaciers and mountains. This Vistadome service also has air conditioning, heating and large, leather seats offering a more comfortable journey, after a long day. They also serve snacks and drinks on route.
