From Inca History to High-Altitude Natural WondersArrival in Cusco and Archaeological City TourDay 01
Upon your arrival at Cusco’s international airport, our dedicated team will provide a warm welcome and a private transfer to your comfortable hotel. The morning is dedicated to a crucial process of acclimatization—resting, hydrating, and preparing your body for the high altitude of the Andes before your adventure begins.
In the afternoon, the journey into Inca history commences with a professional guided tour of the city's highlights. You will explore the impressive colonial architecture of the main square, witness the fusion of Inca and Spanish design at the ancient Qorikancha (Sun Temple), and then travel just outside the city to the colossal fortress of Sacsayhuamán, the ceremonial sites of Q’enqo, Puca Pucara, and the Inca's sacred water temple at Tambomachay.
The day’s exploration concludes with your return to the hotel in the late afternoon. This allows you ample time to enjoy a relaxing dinner at one of Cusco's many fine restaurants, reflect on your first day of discovery, and ensure you get an early night's rest in preparation for the challenging early start to the main event tomorrow: the journey to Machu Picchu.

Full Day Tour to Machu PicchuDay 02
An extremely early morning start is required as you are transferred from your Cusco hotel to the train station in Ollantaytambo. Here, you will board the scenic Expedition train service, winding through the breathtaking Sacred Valley, with the Urubamba River tracing the track, until you arrive in the bustling town of Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo).
From the town, a short but crucial bus journey ascends the mountain switchbacks to the main entrance of the Machu Picchu Citadel. Your professional guide will then lead you on an insightful and comprehensive two-hour tour, revealing the secrets of the Temple of the Sun, the Main Temple, and the agricultural terraces, bringing the history and incredible architecture of the Lost City of the Incas to life.
After your guided experience and some time for personal photos, you will take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included). The late afternoon involves boarding your return train to Ollantaytambo and the final ground transfer back to your hotel in Cusco, concluding an intense but profoundly rewarding day.

Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca) TrekDay 03
Another pre-dawn start is essential as you leave Cusco, heading south in private transport toward the majestic Ausangate mountain range. After approximately three hours, you will stop for a nourishing Andean breakfast to fuel the strenuous hike ahead before continuing to the official trailhead.
The trek to the Vinicunca (Rainbow Mountain) viewpoint is a moderate to challenging ascent of about 1.5 to 2 hours, reaching an altitude of 5,020 meters (16,470 ft.). Upon conquering the summit, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking, surreal panorama of the multi-hued geological layers that have made this mountain a global sensation. You will have approximately 30 minutes to soak in the views and capture truly unique photos.
The descent is quicker, taking about an hour, after which a well-deserved, hot lunch will be waiting. Finally, you will embark on the return drive to the city, arriving back in Cusco in the late afternoon/early evening, leaving you free to rest and celebrate your high-altitude achievement.
